Dental SEO marketing firm · Dentist SEO company · Orthodontist SEO agency
A dental SEO marketing firm for dentists, orthodontists and multi-office practices, with published prices.
We ran the search data before writing this page, and it says something odd about our own industry. Dentists don't shop for a "dental marketing agency" nearly as much as they search for a dentist SEO company - by roughly ten to one. So that's what we lead with. SEO services for dentists from $250 a week, dental websites at $1,000 one-time, Google Ads when they make sense. Single offices, groups and specialists, anywhere in the US. No contract, no account manager, no discovery deck.
What a dental practice report looks like: rankings, calls, booked consults. One page, every Friday.
The short answer
What a dental SEO marketing firm actually does
Before the pricing, the data and the rest of it, here is the plain definition. If you only read one section, read this one.
A dental SEO marketing firm is a specialist agency that gets a dental practice found in Google search and Google Maps for the treatments it wants more of. The work is six things: the Google Business Profile, one page per treatment, local content for the suburbs you draw from, a review system, citations and local links, and the technical health of the site.
Everything else you will be sold sits on top of those six. A dentist SEO company and a dental SEO marketing agency describe the same six disciplines with different nouns. A dental SEO digital marketing agency usually means the same six plus paid ads. Whatever the label, ask for the list of what gets done each month and compare that instead of the name.
What makes a firm dental rather than general is not a secret method. It is that the treatment pages, the profile categories, the review scripts and the schema are already written for dentistry, so none of that gets invented on your budget while you wait.
Our version: SEO services for dentists at $250 a week, month to month, with every one of those six included rather than billed as extras.
Firm vs general agency
A general SEO agency can learn dentistry. You pay for the learning. A dental SEO marketing firm already knows the primary profile category decides more than the homepage does.
Firm vs ad agency
A dental ad agency buys attention monthly and stops when you stop. SEO for dental offices compounds and gets cheaper per patient. Most practices should run both, in that order.
Firm vs in-house
Your front desk can post to the profile. They cannot audit citations, write eight treatment pages and fix Core Web Vitals between patients. Split it: they do reviews, we do the rest.
SEO services for dentists, itemised
01
Google Business Profile
Primary category corrected, every treatment added as a service, real photos, posts running, Q&A seeded before a competitor answers for you. The single biggest lever on whether you appear in the map pack, and the most common thing we find broken.
02
One page per treatment
Implants, Invisalign, emergency, root canal, whitening, veneers. Cost range, financing, what the first visit involves. A single Services page listing twelve treatments in bullets ranks for none of them.
03
Local content for your catchment
The suburbs patients actually drive from, written as pages worth reading rather than the same paragraph with the town name swapped. This is where SEO for dental offices in competitive metros is usually won or lost.
04
Review generation that keeps running
Recency counts as much as volume. The ask happens at the chair while the patient is still pleased with you, leaving one takes fifteen seconds, and replies go up including on the awkward ones.
05
Citations and local links
Name, address and phone consistent everywhere Google checks, duplicates killed, and links from places that actually exist in your city. Slow, unglamorous, and it is why some practices outrank better ones.
06
Technical and speed
Pages that load in about a second on cell data, schema that tells Google you are a dental practice, forms that deliver, and no quiet redirect chains left over from the last rebuild.
If a proposal from any dental SEO marketing firm contains a line item that does not map to one of those six, ask what it is. Sometimes there is a good answer. Often there is not.

What dental SEO and a new website actually change for your practice
Not a service list. These are the four situations dental practices and dental clinics call us about most, what we do about each, and what should be different as a result. It is the same work we run as a local SEO company and a website design company, pointed at dentistry - so whether you are shopping for an SEO agency for dentists, a dental SEO digital marketing agency, or just someone to rebuild the site, it is one team and one invoice.
Where a practice sits in local search before and after the first ninety days.
Sound familiar?Your phone rings less than it used to, and you can't point at why
We start with what patients see
Before anything gets built, we search the way your patients do - from a phone, in your suburb, for the treatments you want more of. Then we show you exactly where you appear and where you don't. Nine times out of ten the first fault is a wrong primary category on your Google Business Profile, which quietly caps everything else you're doing.
What changesYou get the audit whether or not you hire us
Sound familiar?Patients say they found you, then book a hygiene visit instead of the implant consult
One page per treatment, written properly
Most practice sites have a single Services page listing twelve treatments in bullets. It ranks for none of them and answers nobody's actual question. We build a real page for each treatment you want to grow - implants, Invisalign, emergency, whitening - with the cost range, the financing, and what the first visit involves.
What changesHigher-value cases, not just more calls
Sound familiar? You know your reviews are thin but never get round to asking
A review system that runs without you
Recency counts as much as volume. Forty reviews with the newest from 2023 reads to a patient like a practice winding down. We set the ask up so it happens at the chair while they're still pleased with you, make leaving one a fifteen-second job, and get you replying - including to the awkward ones.
What changesReviews that keep arriving after month one
Sound familiar?New patients say your site was slow or they couldn't find your hours
A site built for a phone in a waiting room
Patients compare three practices while sitting somewhere else. Insurance accepted, parking, whether they can be seen this week - those three answers belong above the fold, not below a philosophy-of-care statement. And it has to load in about a second on cell data, which most practice sites don't.
What changesFewer people bouncing before they see you
If none of those four sound like your practice, say so on the call and we'll tell you honestly whether we're the right spend. Some practices don't need marketing - they need a second hygienist or a front desk that answers at lunch. We'd rather say that than sell you a retainer.
An uncomfortable finding
$170
is what dental marketing agencies pay for one click on the phrase "dental marketing companies near me". That phrase gets about 50 searches a month.
The most expensive keyword in the entire dental marketing category is also one of the smallest. An industry that sells targeting is spending its own budget on a few dozen people a month.
Google Keyword Planner, 12 months to June 2026.
What they bid on
"Dental marketing companies near me" - 50 searches a month, top-of-page bids around $170. Roughly $8,500 to reach the whole month's traffic, once.
What they ignore
"Dental seo services" and "dentist seo company" - 5,000 searches a month each, competition index 13 and 18 out of 100. A hundred times the volume, a fraction of the fight.
Why it matters to you
A team that misallocates its own budget this badly is the team you're hiring to allocate yours. Ask any agency to show you the keyword data behind their plan. Most will change the subject.

The phrases this page is written for
Most agencies hide their target list. Here is ours, in plain sight, so you can check whether the page actually answers each one rather than just repeating it. These are the terms practices use when they have decided to hire someone.

Worth knowing when you compare quotes: the hiring terms above sit in the low-competition band, while the advertising equivalents sit near the top of the scale. The word a firm builds its name around tells you something about where it spends.
Finding 01
Dentists search for SEO, not marketing
"Dental seo services" and "dentist seo company" both pull about 5,000 searches a month. "Dental marketing agency" and "dentist marketing company" pull 500. A ten-to-one gap that's been sitting in plain sight while every agency in the category names itself a marketing agency. When a practice has a problem, the problem is usually "nobody can find us" - and the word for that is SEO.
Finding 02
The fight is on the ads side, not the organic one
Competition on "dental advertising companies" and "dental ad agency" sits at 72 out of 100. The SEO terms sit between 3 and 18. If you're choosing where to spend, that gap is the whole story: dental ads are crowded and priced accordingly, while organic is comparatively wide open. Not because it's easier - because fewer people bother.
Finding 03
Half the "dental website" volume isn't dentists
The biggest single term in the raw file was "delta dental website" - patients hunting an insurance portal. Same for humana, aarp and western dental. Any agency showing you impressions for "dental website" without stripping those out is padding the number. We removed them before building this page, and you should ask whoever you're considering whether they did too.
Same work, six different names
Dental SEO marketing firm, dental SEO marketing agency, dental SEO digital marketing agency: what practices mean by each
These get used interchangeably in the category, and the difference is mostly historical rather than real. Here is the honest translation, including which one we are.
Dental SEO marketing firm
Usually a smaller, senior team that only works in dentistry and owns the outcome rather than a channel. "Firm" tends to signal that the person you meet is the person doing the work. That is the sense in which we use it, and it is the one term worth checking rather than assuming, because plenty of large agencies use it too.
Dentist SEO company
The most searched phrase in the whole category and the plainest. It means organic search only: profile, treatment pages, reviews, citations, technical. No ads, no social, no brand work. If that is all you want, say so early, because it is cheaper than the bundled version and most firms will not volunteer that.
SEO agency for dentists
Functionally identical to the above. "Agency" implies a team with account structure, which can mean depth or can mean the senior person you liked disappears after the pitch. Ask which, and ask for a direct line to whoever writes your treatment pages.
Dental practice SEO services
The deliverables framing rather than the vendor framing. Practices search this when they already know they want the work and are trying to price it. It is also the fairest way to compare two quotes, because it forces both to list line items instead of one bundled number.
Dental SEO digital marketing agency
SEO plus paid, and sometimes social and email. Broader scope, higher retainer, and harder to tell which half is producing the calls. If you go this route, insist the reporting splits organic and paid, or you will renew on a number you cannot attribute.
SEO for dental offices
The phrasing groups and multi-site practices use, and it points at a different problem: several offices, one site, and locations quietly competing with each other in search. That is structural, and no amount of content fixes it.
So which are we?
All of the above, which is the honest answer and also why this page exists. Waystar Studio runs as a dental SEO marketing firm for single practices, as an orthodontist SEO agency where the plan needs to change, and as a dental SEO digital marketing agency when a practice wants ads running alongside. Same team, priced by line item at $250 a week for SEO and $1,000 one-time for a site, so you can take one piece or all of it. The label is yours to pick. The invoice reads the same either way.
Seven minutes, start to finish
How a patient actually picks a dentist
Not a funnel diagram. This is the real sequence, and there are five separate points where a practice quietly loses somebody it never knew was looking.
11:40pm
It starts with pain, not with you
Nobody wakes up wanting a dentist. A crown comes off, a molar cracks, a child falls off a scooter. They reach for a phone in the dark and type four words.
Lose it here if: you don't have an emergency page
11:41pm
Three results, and only three
The map pack shows three practices. Fourth place is a scroll away and might as well not exist. Which three appear depends on category, proximity and reviews - in roughly that order.
Lose it here if: your primary category is wrong
11:43pm
They read your worst review first
Not the average. People scan for the one-stars and decide whether the complaint would bother them. An unanswered complaint about billing does more damage than a 4.6 average protects against.
Lose it here if: recent reviews are unanswered
11:45pm
Insurance, parking, and can I be seen
Three questions, in that order, and most practice sites answer none of them above the fold. They lead with a philosophy of care statement instead.
Lose it here if: your insurance list is a PDF
11:47pm
They call whoever answers
Or they fill a form and wait, which is worse. At 11pm the practice with a working after-hours line or a form that actually delivers wins a patient the other two never hear about.
Lose it here if: the form goes to an inbox nobody checks
What the patient sees. Three practices, a star rating, a distance, and an open-or-closed label. That's the whole decision surface.
The pages that do the work
One page per treatment, not one page for all of them
The single most common structural fault on a dental site: a Services page listing twelve treatments in bullet points, ranking for none of them. Each of these is a different searcher in a different mood.
Emergency
Highest urgency
They arrivePain right now, will call in 60 seconds
Page needsInsurance coverage explained, single-visit if you offer it
Kids' first visit
Trust-led
They arriveAnxious parent, not the patient
Page needsPhotos of the space, what happens, gentle tone
Why the bullet list fails
Someone searching "dental implants cost" and someone searching "emergency dentist open now" have nothing in common except that you can help them both. One will read for fifteen minutes and book a consult in a fortnight. The other will call the first number that answers.
A single Services page has to be vague enough to cover both, which means it converts neither and ranks for neither. Google needs a page that is obviously about implants to rank you for implants. Patients need a page that answers the question they actually have.
Eight decent treatment pages will out-earn a beautiful homepage every time. They're also the cheapest thing on this list to fix, because the content already exists in your head - you explain it to patients daily.
A treatment page that answers the question the patient actually typed.
Dental digital marketing
SEO services for dentists: what a dentist SEO company should be doing every month
Website, SEO and ads from the same team. Priced separately so you can take one, two or all three - the full dental practice SEO services list, or just the piece you actually need. This is the monthly work behind every plan on this page, whether you are hiring us as a dentist SEO company or as a dental SEO digital marketing agency with ads on top.
Google Business Profile
The biggest single lever on whether you appear in the map pack. Correct primary category, every treatment listed as a service, real photos of the actual practice, posts running, Q&A seeded before a competitor answers for you.
Dental SEO
Treatment pages that rank
Implants, Invisalign, veneers, emergency, root canal, whitening. One page each, written properly. Most practice sites have a single Services page listing twelve treatments in bullet points, which ranks for none of them.
Dental SEO
Dentist website design
Around five pages, custom, copy written for you. Insurance accepted, parking, new patient forms, and a phone number that's tappable before you scroll. We work as your dental website developer and designer both, so the best dental website design decisions and the build happen in the same place. $1,000 one-time.
Website
Review generation
Recency matters as much as volume. Forty reviews with the newest from 2023 reads as a practice winding down. We set up the ask so it happens at the chair, not in an email nobody opens.
Dental SEO
Google Ads for dentists
For implants, Invisalign and emergency - the treatments where one case pays for the month. Ads terms in dental are the most contested part of the category, so this is where tight targeting earns its keep.
Ads
Site speed and technical
Patients compare three practices on a phone in a waiting room somewhere else. Pages that load in about a second, schema so Google reads you as a dental practice, and forms that actually deliver.
Website
Weekly reporting
One page every Friday: what moved, what we did, what's next. Calls and form fills, not just rankings. If a week was slow it says so.
All plans
You own everything
Domain, site, content, Google Business Profile, ad account, every login. In your name from day one. Leaving costs you nothing but the notice.
Always
Not all dentistry is the same
General, ortho, pediatric and startup practices need different plans
These get lumped together constantly, and they behave nothing alike in search. Any SEO agency for dentists selling the same plan to all six is guessing, and the report will look fine while the wrong patients call.
General dentistry
Emergency and routine, competing on convenience
Two very different patients. One is in pain at 9pm and will call whoever answers. The other is picking a new practice after moving and cares about insurance, parking and whether they can get in this week. Your site has to serve both without confusing either.
Needs: emergency page, insurance list, same-week availability up front
Orthodontics
The parent researches for weeks before calling
An orthodontist marketing agency selling you the same plan as a general practice hasn't looked at the behaviour. Braces and Invisalign are a considered purchase made by someone who isn't the patient. They read, compare, ask a Facebook group, then book three consults.
Nobody searching "pediatric dentist near me" cares about your equipment. They want to know their four-year-old won't be traumatised. That's a photography and copy problem more than an SEO one - though pediatric dentist SEO terms are cheap, because few practices bother.
Needs: real photos of the space, first-visit page, gentle tone throughout
Startup practice
No reviews, no history, no authority
Dental startup marketing is its own problem. You can't out-rank a practice with 200 reviews in month one, so the sequence matters: profile built properly, citations consistent, first twenty reviews collected fast, ads carrying the load while organic catches up.
Needs: ads first, reviews urgently, patience on organic
Group practice / DSO
Your locations are competing with each other
The most common structural fault in group dental practice marketing. Three locations, one website, near-identical pages, and Google picking whichever it likes for every search. Fixing the structure usually moves more than any amount of new content.
Needs: location architecture fixed before anything else
Specialty & cosmetic
High value, low volume, long consideration
Implants, full-arch, veneers. A handful of searches a month, each worth thousands. Volume metrics are meaningless here - a page that gets forty visits and books two consults beats one that gets four hundred and books none.
Needs: case galleries, financing, consult-focused ads
One office, or twelve
SEO for dental offices: one location, three locations, or a whole group
The number of offices changes the work more than the type of dentistry does. A plan built for a single practice, run across six, is the most expensive mistake in the category - because it usually looks fine on the report while the locations quietly eat each other.
One office
The simple version, done properly
One profile, one site, one catchment. The whole job is category accuracy, treatment pages for what you want more of, reviews arriving weekly and pages that load fast. Nothing exotic. Most single practices are underperforming on the basics rather than missing something clever, which is why the first ninety days move the most.
Two to five offices
Where cannibalisation starts
Three locations, one website, near-identical pages, and Google picking whichever it likes for every search while the other two get nothing. Each office needs its own page with genuinely different content, its own profile properly claimed, and internal linking that does not point every signal at the head office.
Group / DSO
Structure first, content second
At six or more offices the wins are architectural: a scalable location template, consistent NAP across every directory, schema per location, and a review system that works for front desks you do not personally manage. Content volume matters far less than getting the structure right once.
New office opening
Sequence matters more than spend
A new office has no reviews, no history and no authority, so it cannot outrank an established practice in month one no matter what you spend on SEO. Profile built correctly on day one, citations consistent, first twenty reviews collected fast, ads carrying the load while organic catches up. Roughly the reverse order of what most firms sell.
If you run more than one office, ask any dental SEO marketing firm you are talking to how they handle location cannibalisation specifically. It is the fastest way to find out whether they have actually done multi-office work or just single practices in bulk.
The gap nobody is filling
Orthodontist SEO agency, pediatric and surgical practice SEO
General dentistry terms are contested. Specialty terms are not - and in one case the competition index is literally zero. Here's what the data says about each, and what we'd do differently.
Orthodontics
Orthodontist SEO agency, orthodontist SEO company and orthodontics SEO services
"Orthodontist seo services" gets around 500 searches a month at a competition index of 10. "Orthodontist marketing agency" gets the same volume at 36 - more than three times the fight for identical traffic. The SEO framing is cheaper and bigger, same as it is in general dentistry.
orthodontist seo services · 500/mo · comp 10orthodontist seo company · comp 13orthodontist ppc agency · barely contested
The behaviour is what most agencies miss. Braces and Invisalign are a considered purchase, and the person searching usually isn't the patient. A parent reads for two or three weeks, asks a local Facebook group, compares monthly payment plans, then books three consults and picks one.
So the pages that earn consults aren't the ones optimised for "orthodontist near me". They're the comparison pages - braces vs Invisalign, what treatment actually costs per month, how long it takes, what happens at the first visit. That content barely exists on most orthodontic sites, which is exactly why it works.
Adult ortho is a separate audience again, searching for themselves, more price-sensitive, and far more likely to be swayed by clear financing than by a photo of a teenager smiling.
We target: orthodontist seo agency · orthodontics seo company · seo company for orthodontics · orthodontist seo services · orthodontist marketing agency · orthodontist digital marketing · orthodontist ppc company · invisalign marketing
Pediatric dentistry
Pediatric dentist SEO company
This is the one worth staring at. "Pediatric dentist seo company" comes back with a competition index of zero. Not low - zero. Nobody is bidding on it, which almost always means nobody is writing for it either.
pediatric dentist seo company · comp 0volume is small · intent is not
Small volume, and we'd rather say that than pretend otherwise. But a competition index of zero on a commercial term is unusual enough to be worth taking, because the practices searching it are actively looking to hire and finding almost nothing written for them.
The marketing problem for a pediatric practice is different from every other kind of dentistry. Nobody searching cares about your equipment or your credentials. An anxious parent wants to know their four-year-old will come out fine. That's a photography and tone problem far more than a keyword one - real pictures of the actual room, a page describing exactly what happens at a first visit, and copy that doesn't sound like it was written for adults with a broken molar.
We target: pediatric dentist seo company · pediatric dental marketing · kids dentist seo · children's dentist marketing agency · pediatric dental practice seo
Oral surgery & implants
Implant and oral surgery practice SEO
Tiny volume, enormous case value. A page pulling forty visits a month and booking two full-arch consults is worth more than one pulling four hundred and booking none. Standard traffic reporting makes this look like failure.
low volume · highest value per casereferral traffic matters as much
Two audiences, and they need different pages. Patients arrive researching cost and recovery, often after a general dentist has told them what they need. Referring dentists arrive checking whether you're someone they'd trust with their patient - and they'll look at your site before they pick up the phone.
Most surgical practice sites are built entirely for the first group and ignore the second, which is odd given referrals are usually the bigger share of the schedule. A plain page aimed at referring practices - what you handle, how you communicate back, how fast you can see someone - does quiet, unglamorous work.
We target: oral surgeon seo · dental implant marketing agency · implant dentistry seo · full arch marketing · oral surgery practice marketing
Periodontics & endodontics
Perio and endo practice marketing
Almost entirely referral-driven, which is why generic dental marketing plans fail here. You're not competing for "dentist near me" and you shouldn't be paying anyone to try.
referral-led · not map pack ledemergency endo is the exception
The honest version: if 80% of your chairs are filled by referral, SEO is a supporting act and we'll tell you that before you spend anything. What it can do is make you findable to the patient who's been referred and is now googling you before the appointment, and to the general practice deciding between two specialists.
Emergency endodontics is the exception. Someone in genuine pain at 8pm who's been told they need a root canal is searching the same way anyone in pain searches, and that traffic behaves like general dentistry rather than specialty.
We target: periodontist seo · endodontist marketing · periodontal practice marketing · emergency root canal seo · specialist dental referral marketing
A note on the numbers above: they come from Google Keyword Planner for the 12 months to June 2026, and competition index is Google's own 0–100 measure of advertiser demand, not organic difficulty. Low competition doesn't guarantee an easy ranking - it means fewer people are trying, which is usually the more useful signal anyway.
For pediatric practices
Parents aren't comparing dentists. They're deciding whether their kid will be okay.
Which is why a pediatric practice marketed like a general one underperforms. Nobody searching for you cares about your chair technology or your years in practice. They want to know their four-year-old won't come home frightened - and almost nothing on a typical dental site answers that.
So we build differently for you. Real photos of your actual rooms instead of stock. A first-visit page walking a parent through exactly what happens, minute by minute. Your Medicaid and CHIP acceptance stated plainly, because for a lot of families that's the whole decision. Reviews collected in a way that gets parents naming your hygienist, since that's what other parents read for.
And one structural thing most pediatric practices miss: you're competing in search with general dentists who "also see kids". Separating yourself from them is a page-structure problem, and it's fixable.
Almost nobody is competing for pediatric dental searchWhich makes it cheap to win right now
A first-visit page with real photos of your rooms does more for an anxious parent than any amount of copy about credentials.
Before you sign anything
How to pick the best SEO company for dentists
Search "best seo company for dentists" and you get listicles written by the firms on them, or paid for by all of them. Nobody can rank that objectively, us included. What you can do is compare on things that are checkable, and these six questions do it. They work on us too - ask them on our call and hold us to the answers.
Question 1
Can you show me the keyword research behind this plan?
The best dental marketing companies will have it open in a tab already. Ask any dental SEO agency for the actual search volumes and competition figures for your treatments in your area - not a case study from a practice three states away. It takes ten minutes to produce if the research exists.
Red flag: a plan built before anyone looked at your market
Question 2
Who is doing the work, and can I contact them?
Plenty of dental marketing firms sell the founder and deliver a junior. There is nothing wrong with a team, but you should know whether the dental SEO expert on the call is the one writing your treatment pages, and you should have a direct line to whoever is.
Red flag: every answer routes through an account manager
Question 3
What exactly is included, and what gets billed separately?
This is where quotes stop being comparable. One dental digital marketing company includes content, citations and reporting. Another quotes a lower headline number and bills each of those. Ask for the line items in writing before you compare two prices.
Red flag: one number, no breakdown
Question 4
Am I locked in, and who owns everything if I leave?
Six to twelve month agreements are normal across dental internet marketing services, and so is the agency holding your domain or Google Business Profile on their own account. That second one matters far more than the contract length, because it turns leaving into a negotiation instead of a notice period.
Red flag: vagueness about who holds the logins
Question 5
What happens in month four?
Every dental online marketing company has a strong first month, because month one is all the obvious fixes and they feel dramatic. Ask what specifically happens once the profile is fixed and the treatment pages are live. Strategic dental marketing is mostly what happens after the easy wins run out.
Red flag: the answer is 'ongoing optimisation'
Question 6
Have you built for a practice like mine before?
Not just dentistry - your kind of dentistry. A dental web design company that has only ever built for general practices will hand an orthodontist the same layout. Ask to see work for a comparable practice, and ask what they'd do differently for yours.
Red flag: one portfolio, every site the same shape
Worth saying plainly: on question six we'd fail for pediatric dentistry today, because we haven't built one yet. We'd tell you that on the call rather than show you a general practice site and let you assume. Everything else on this list we'll answer in writing.

The fair version: a large agency is the right call if you need SEO, ads, social, print and a rebrand handled by one vendor and you have the budget for it. A freelancer is the right call if you have a single office, a clear brief and someone in-house to chase things. A dental SEO marketing firm sits between the two, and that is the whole pitch - senior work, published prices, no account layer.
Published, itemised, and not bundled to hide anything
Most dental marketing companies quote one number for everything so you can't tell what you're actually paying for. Here are our dental practice SEO services, website and ads pricing, split out. Same rates whether you are one office or six.
$250 /week
Dental SEO · month to month
Roughly $1,000 a month. Growth tier $500/week, aggressive $850/week for practices in genuinely brutal markets. Cancel any week.
Dental website: $1,000 one-time, around five pages, copy included. Google Ads management from $250/week plus whatever you spend with Google - that part goes to them, not us.
Google Business Profile built out and managed
Treatment pages written - implants, Invisalign, emergency, whitening
All copywriting included, no per-page charge
Review generation set up and running
Technical SEO, page speed, dental practice schema
Citations and local links for your suburb
Weekly one-page report - calls and consults, not just rankings
You own the site, the profile and every login
Honest caveat: if you're a DSO running forty locations, this isn't built for that and an enterprise firm will serve you better. We'll say so on the call rather than take the retainer and learn on your practice.
How long dental SEO takes for a dental office, month by month
Any dental SEO company promising page one in thirty days is guessing, or buying links that will cost you later.
Weeks 1–2
Audit and foundation
Profile rebuilt, categories fixed, technical faults cleared. The category being wrong is the single most common thing we find, and it quietly caps everything else.
Weeks 3–6
Treatment pages live
Implants, Invisalign, emergency, whitening. Citations cleaned. Review system collecting. Map pack impressions usually move before rankings do.
Months 2–4
Calls start shifting
Less contested treatment terms come into range. Most practices notice the phone before they notice the report.
Months 4–8
The competitive terms
"Dentist near me" and the big treatment keywords come into play. Reviews accumulated by now are doing real work.
Ongoing
Maintenance
New treatments, new reviews, competitors responding, Google updating. Dental SEO isn't a project that finishes.
One caveat worth saying plainly: if your practice has eleven reviews and the three practices around you have three hundred each, SEO alone won't fix that this year. Reviews come first. We'll tell you that before you sign anything.

They fixed things on our profile I didn't know were broken - the category was wrong the whole time we'd been open. Rankings moved within a few weeks. What I appreciate most is that I can text and get an actual answer the same day, which was never true with the last company we used.

We do industrial cleaning, and we have started to get 10-20 leads a month extra from our website. And in our industry the search demand is really low and most of it goes to companies running PPC, so even one or two extra clients a month means $40-50K per month for at least a year.

Where these come from. Every quote here is live on Trustpilot or our Google Business Profile under the reviewer's own account, so you can go and read them at the source rather than taking our word for it. We haven't written any of them, and we haven't dropped the short ones or the ones that only mention one thing we did. None are from dental practices yet - we'd rather show you real reviews from other industries than invent dental ones. The profile work, the treatment pages, the review systems: that's the same job whether the client fixes teeth or fixes trucks.
Reviews are published as written, with only spelling and punctuation corrected. Results described are those clients' own - lead volume and contract values vary a great deal by industry and service area, and nothing here is a projection of what your practice would see.
Dental SEO marketing firm questions, answered plainly
A dental SEO marketing firm is a specialist agency that gets a dental practice found in Google search and Google Maps for the treatments it wants more of. The work comes down to six things: the Google Business Profile, one page per treatment, local content for the suburbs you draw patients from, a review system that keeps running, citations and local links, and the technical health of the site. What separates a dental SEO marketing firm from a general agency is that all of it is already pointed at dentistry, so the treatment pages, the schema and the review scripts do not have to be invented from scratch on your budget.
Mostly ramp time. A good general agency can learn dentistry, and you pay for the learning. A dental SEO marketing firm already knows that the primary Google Business Profile category decides more than the homepage does, that an insurance page quietly catches people who would otherwise call three practices, that a referring dentist reads a surgical practice site differently from a patient, and that emergency traffic behaves nothing like implant traffic. If your practice is unusual, say a group with six locations or a startup with no reviews, that head start is worth more than the hourly rate difference.
Nobody can name the best SEO company for dentists objectively, and any roundup claiming to has usually been paid for by the firms on it. What you can compare are four checkable things: is the price published before the call, is the person doing the work named and reachable, are the deliverables itemised rather than bundled into one number, and can they show keyword research for your own zip code rather than a case study from three states away. A firm that clears all four is a safer hire than one with a better-designed website.
Google Business Profile management, one page per treatment you want to grow, local content for the areas you draw from, review generation set up to run at the chair, citation cleanup and local link work, technical and speed fixes, and a one-page report every Friday showing calls and form fills rather than only rankings. Dental practice SEO services start at $250 a week with nothing on that list billed separately. Websites and Google Ads are priced on their own so you can take one, two or all three.
In practice the labels overlap almost entirely. A dental SEO marketing agency usually means organic search: profile, content, citations, links. A dental SEO digital marketing agency usually means that plus paid channels, mainly Google Ads and sometimes social. We do both, priced separately, because bundling them into one retainer is how practices end up unable to tell which half is working. Compare the line items, not the noun on the homepage.
Yes. Those are the offices, not the service area. We run SEO for dental offices across the US, and the work is remote either way since Google Business Profile, treatment pages and reviews do not need anyone in the building. What does change by market is the competition level, which is why the audit is built around your zip code before any price is quoted.
No, and a guarantee is a reason to walk. Nobody controls Google's ranking systems, and any firm promising page one in thirty days is either counting terms nobody searches or buying links that will cost you later. What can reasonably be committed to is the work: what gets built, when, and what gets reported. Expect four to eight weeks for first movement and three to six months for meaningful new patient volume.
Yes, and the two get different plans. Orthodontist SEO agency work is aimed at a parent who researches for two or three weeks, compares monthly payments, asks a local Facebook group and then books three consults, so comparison content and clear financing outperform another near-me page. General dentistry splits between someone in pain at 9pm and someone choosing a practice after moving. Same six disciplines, different pages and different ad structure.
Nobody can answer that honestly, including us, and any roundup claiming to rank the best dental marketing agencies is usually written by one of them or paid for by all of them. What you can do is compare on things that are checkable: is the price published, who does the work, what is included, and can they show you the keyword research for your area. The six questions above are the version of that list we'd want a practice to use on us.
Both, in the sense that matters to you - we design and build. Some dental web design companies hand off a picture and let someone else build it, which is where the speed problems usually creep in. A dentist website company that also handles the SEO structure at build time saves you paying twice, because retrofitting headings, schema and redirects into a finished site costs more than doing it right the first time. Our builds are $1,000 one-time, around five pages, copy included.
Mostly the label. A dental SEO agency usually means organic search only - profile, content, citations, links. A dental digital marketing company usually means that plus ads and sometimes social. The search data is blunt about how little the words matter: "dental seo services" and "dental marketing agency" describe near-identical work, but one pulls ten times the search volume at a third of the competition. What matters is the line items, not the noun on their homepage.
Yes, and it's a different job from single-practice local dentist SEO - a dental local seo marketing company handling one location is solving a much simpler problem. The usual fault in multi-location dental SEO isn't a lack of content - it's that the locations are quietly competing with each other for the same searches, so Google picks whichever it likes and the other two get nothing. That's a site structure fix, and it normally moves more than any amount of new writing. Group and DSO practices should ask about this specifically.
Yes, and orthodontics gets a different plan from general dentistry. The search data is interesting here: "orthodontist seo services" pulls around 500 searches a month at a competition index of 10, while "orthodontist marketing agency" pulls the same volume at 36. Same traffic, three times the fight, purely because of the word used. More importantly, the person searching for braces or Invisalign is usually a parent researching for weeks - so comparison content and clear monthly pricing convert far better than another "orthodontist near me" page.
Very few people are competing here, which is the point. "Pediatric dentist seo company" comes back with a competition index of zero - nobody bidding, and almost nobody writing for it either. The volume is small and we won't pretend otherwise. But pediatric marketing is a genuinely different problem: an anxious parent wants reassurance about a four-year-old, not your credentials. Real photos of the room and a clear first-visit page do more than any keyword.
Yes, with a caveat we'd rather say up front. Perio and endo are largely referral-driven, so if most of your chairs are filled by referring dentists, SEO is a supporting act and we'll tell you that before you spend. Where it does earn its keep is the referred patient googling you before their appointment, the general practice choosing between two specialists, and emergency endodontics - which behaves like general dentistry because somebody is in pain right now. Oral surgery and implants are different again: tiny volume, enormous case value, and a referring-dentist audience most practice sites ignore entirely.
We run dental SEO from $250 a week, roughly $1,000 a month, with no contract. Growth is $500 a week and aggressive is $850 for genuinely brutal markets. Most dental marketing agencies charge $2,000 to $5,000 a month on a six to twelve month agreement. What matters more than the number is what's inside it - profile management, content, citations and reporting shouldn't be separate line items you discover later.
Six things. Fix the Google Business Profile. Build a page for each treatment you want more of. Publish content for the suburbs you draw patients from. Set up a review system. Clean up citations and earn local links. Handle the technical side so pages load fast and Google reads you as a dental practice. If something on the invoice doesn't fit one of those six, ask what it is.
Ours is $1,000 one-time for around five pages, copywriting and domain setup included. Dental website design companies commonly quote $5,000 to $15,000 up front. Hosting and ongoing support are quoted separately and we give you that number on the call.
Ads if you need patients this month. SEO if you want the cost per patient to fall over time. The data is blunt about this: competition on dental advertising terms sits around 72 out of 100 while dental SEO terms sit between 3 and 18. Ads work, they're just crowded and priced accordingly. Most practices run both, with ads carrying the first three months.
Four to eight weeks for first movement, three to six months for meaningful new patient volume. Practices usually notice the phone before they notice the report.
Yes, and they get different plans. Orthodontic patients research for weeks and the decision-maker is a parent, not the patient. Pediatric is a trust and photography problem more than a keyword one. Orthodontist SEO and pediatric dentist SEO terms are both cheap right now because few practices bother with them properly.
Both, and they're opposite problems. A startup has no reviews and no authority, so ads carry the load while profile and reviews build. A group practice usually has locations quietly competing with each other in search, which is a structural fix, not a content one.
Yes - domain, site, content, profile and ad account, all in your name from day one. Ask this of every dental marketing company you talk to and get the answer in writing. Agencies holding the profile on their own account is more common than it should be, and it turns leaving into a negotiation.
Not as a standalone service, and we'll be straight about why. For most general practices social is a retention and reassurance channel, not an acquisition one - patients find you in search and check your Instagram afterwards. If you're cosmetic or ortho, social genuinely does drive cases, and in that situation we'd point you at someone who does it full time.
Odds and ends
A few things that didn't fit anywhere else
Every page like this ends with a call to action. Before that, some stuff we've noticed that isn't tidy enough for its own section but is probably more useful than another paragraph about our process.
The "best dental websites 2022" thing
That phrase still gets searched, in 2026. So does a version with 2021. Somebody out there is looking at a four-year-old roundup to pick an agency. If you're going to read those lists, at least check the dates - half are ranked by whoever wrote them, and a fair few of the practices featured have since rebuilt with somebody else.
Nobody talks about the phone
We can get you into the map pack and it won't matter if the line rings out at lunch. We've audited practices with a beautifully optimised profile and voicemail during the exact hours patients search. Not our department, strictly. We'll still mention it.
Ask what happens on day 31
Every agency has a great first month, because month one is all the obvious fixes and they feel dramatic. Ask what specifically happens in month four, when there's nothing obvious left. If the answer is vague, that's the answer.
Read your competitors' one-star reviews
Not for the stars - for the complaints. Three practices near you all getting one-stars about wait times is a positioning gap sitting in plain sight, and it costs nothing to notice. We do this in every audit and it's astonishing how often the answer is "just say you run on time".
One thing we're bad at
We're slow on design revisions. Not the build - the back-and-forth after. If you want six rounds on the shade of blue, we're probably not your people, and it's better to know that now than in week three.
Insurance pages are underrated
"Do you take my insurance" is one of the most common questions a front desk answers and one of the least common pages on a dental site. A plain page listing the plans you accept, in text a search engine can read, quietly catches a lot of people who'd otherwise call three practices to find out.
And if you've read this far
You're already doing more homework than most practices do before signing a twelve-month agreement with a dental SEO marketing agency. Whatever you decide, ask whoever you're talking to for their keyword data. Not their case studies - the actual research behind your plan. It takes ten minutes to produce if it exists. The reaction to that question tells you almost everything you need to know.
